Here at Velviere, we are passionate believers that grooming is just as important as style, and this is why my duty free stop whenever I travel isn't limited exclusively to aftershave and alcohol. Most men don't have a skincare routine as they find the topic complicated, and as the simple creatures we are, we just don't care to figure it out! Well, worry not, leave the thinking to us, we've trawled the market and here is our recommended skincare guide.
Before we start, it's important to know that right now, in the midst of Covid-19, it's imperative that before you touch your face you thoroughly wash your hands. As crazy as it sounds, we have to say it.
Step 1 - Cleanse.
Step 2 - Exfoliate.
Typically I do this 2 times a week, usually after I've done my morning cleanse. This process is important for removing any dead skin cells, therefore allowing the pores to breathe and revealing a fresher and youthful under glow. To avoid too much abrasion, gently work a small amount into the wet skin with particular attention paid to the 'T' area of your face. After applying to face and neck, wash away with warm water. Our recommended products: Sisley Gentle Facial Buffing Cream - £65.50 or Baxter Of California’s Facial Scrub £19
Step 3 - Moisturize.
The finishing touch, moisturising hydrates your skin and adds key nutrients to your new face whilst also adding a protective layer to your pores. Apply a small amount to the palm of your hand and again, in a circular motion apply to neck and face area. Apply just enough to cover the skin. The Velviere team highly recommends Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream - £16 or Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer £10, however, if you really want to treat yourself, look no further than the amazing Lisa Franklin Men's Defence Cream - £80
I really like your skincare routine. I would like to use these products in my skincare routine. Thanks a lot for sharing.
